When Innovation Goes Wrong, We Shouldn’t Blame Technology, But Ourselves
As technology becomes more powerful, concerns about its unintended consequences grow. While we can't fully control technology, we can focus on understanding and mitigating its social impact. New technologies like AI, gene editing, and social media raise concerns about jobs, biohacking, and truth. But technology also reveals and builds societal norms, forcing us to adapt and rethink old truths. We need to ask hard questions about accountability, inequality, and the nature of work, and take responsibility for the societal shift that every technological advance brings.
