Innovation is the Triumph of Hope over Experience
Corporate innovators who constantly experiment and bring new ideas to bear, despite facing various odds and cultural barriers, aren't insane, but committed and rarely defeated. Failure is required as a component of innovation, but good innovators mix hope with experience gained from success and failure. Most people who attempt to innovate are neither hopeful nor experienced, and this needs to change through small experiments, changing corporate culture and communications, to give people more confidence and purpose.
