What is the FORTH Method?
Gijs van Wulfen's Forth Innovation Methodology offers a highly visual approach to innovation that provides a structured pathway from discovery to successful business concepts. The methodology is based on the Innovation Expedition, inspired by famous explorers, which takes 20 weeks to complete and is made up of five steps: Full Steam Ahead, Observe & Learn, Raise Ideas, Test Ideas, and Homecoming. The Five steps are represented by the acronym FORTH. The methodology offers tools and techniques for each step, practical rules, and detailed checklists to manage the front end of innovation. The deliverables are 3-5 mini new business cases for innovative concepts that fit the reality of your organization. The methodology is designed to jumpstart innovation and to create a culture of innovation.
