The Collaborative Innovation Canvas: A Visual Strategy
To optimize collaborative innovation programs, the focus should be on ideation, collaboration, and good old fashioned leadership. The Collaborative Innovation Canvas, borrowed from Osterwalder and Pigneur’s Business Model Canvas, condenses the complexities of program design into a single, visually understandable page. The canvas features three fundamental driving forces, Alignment, People, and Process, and eight core components to guide program design: Objectives, Resources, Stakeholders, Audience, Communications, Decision Making, Execution, and Measurements. The canvas helps to keep the team oriented around the basic elements of the program design, enabling them to work together more effectively.
