Sooner, Better, Bolder
Group innovation is a significant aspect of successful innovation, as groups are likely to be more creative than individuals. Keith Sawyer's book, Group Genius, highlights this point. People engage and ideate sooner when paired with teammates, as they feel committed and have a sense of common purpose. Additionally, it's cheaper to innovate with a teammate as it takes less exertion, which yields better results. Lastly, people can think creatively with a wider variance knowing they have a partner to reel them back in if they get too wild. The optimal group size is two to three, and innovation happens in small clusters, not in larger groups.
