Panda as an innovative green energy source
China has invested $126.6 billion in renewable energy, making it the world's leading investor in the sector. In 2017, they built the world's largest solar farm, Tenger Desert, with a capacity of 1,500 megawatts. However, the country is also building solar farms in the shape of its national treasure, the panda. The first one opened in 2017 in Datong, Shanxi Province and is made up of thousands of black and white solar panels that can provide 100 megawatts of clean electricity for 25 years. Panda Green Energy Group, one of China's largest developers in the sector of solar energy, has plans to build 99 more solar pandas across the country.
