Pam Didner talks about creating a sound process for idea sourcing in order to sustain innovation for the long-term. Her recent post looks at Dell’s IdeaStorm and Starbucks' My Starbucks Idea, both of which have used Salesforce.com’s Idea platform. While there is a difference between the results of a technical company and a restaurant company, Didner advises that the back-end process is what is important. This includes classifying ideas, reviewing and prioritizing them, implementing them and reporting results. By doing so, customers can know that their ideas are being listened to and worked on.
