If You Give an Innovator an Idea, He'll Want to Launch It
Innovation is not just about coming up with new ideas, but it’s also about understanding the consequences, dependencies and relationships between different aspects of the innovation process. For instance, if you innovate without clear goals or scope, then you won’t be able to evaluate or measure your ideas effectively. Furthermore, if you can’t get your ideas in front of decision-makers with a compelling argument, then your efforts may go to waste. When done right, innovation requires building a well-considered, fully thought out workflow that describes how ideas are created, evaluated and converted into products and services, while considering all the consequences, changes in prioritization and resource allocation.
