How to Measure Innovation Ecosytem KPIs
Clusters are being replaced by innovation districts, and urban planners are asking questions to determine their ecosystem's success. These evaluative questions include identifying the region’s concentration of innovation assets, whether the ecosystem has a diverse and opportunity-rich environment and how strong its leadership is. Additionally, there are two key principles of ecosystem value co-creation: clear vision and shared value, and support and facilitation of actors to make new connections. When measuring KPIs for digital health ecosystems, it's vital to consider economic inclusivity with indicators determining inclusivity within an ecosystem. Domains should include education and manpower development, technology transfer, economic development, patient value, and open innovation quotient. Sustainable business models should be built to ensure long term funding to help patients generate and define value.
