Design Thinking for HR - Innovation Training | Design Thinking
Design thinking, which is widely implemented in product development or customer experience, has now found its way to becoming a growing trend for Human Resource (HR) management. Design thinking facilitates the development of human-centered creative problem-solving capabilities that make a significant difference in organizations. A recent Global Human Capital Trends 2016 report by Deloitte reveals that respondents at companies where HR delivers the highest levels of value are almost five times more likely to be using design thinking programs. HR managers are advised to use design thinking to re-think the employee experience, applying user-focused and creative problem-solving techniques to create internal innovations that can solve real problems and benefit employees in their daily work. Design thinking projects tend to be easier when applied in HR context, as participants tend to have greater empathy for their colleagues compared to external users. The design thinking approach can help to design more engagement and innovative culture within an organization.
