Communications & Innovation: Two Sides of the Same Coin
Companies must embrace cross-functional collaboration to make innovation a competitive differentiator. While many organizations have corporate innovation teams, they need to secure support from various departments, including communications. The communications department can and should be the primary driver to make innovation a living, breathing part of the organization. Here are five tenets for communications departments to encourage and empower people to innovate: clarify company strategy, openly share successes and failures, recognize accomplishments, promote inclusion and diversity, and solicit and act on feedback.
