Brand Transparency in a Connected, Socially Networked World

Matt Anthony, CEO of VML, recently delivered a keynote presentation on the topic of how brands can strategically take advantage of the opportunities presented by an increasingly connected and socially networked world. Anthony highlighted several staggering metrics: 75% of the world visits a blog or social network online, while social media accounts for 22% of total online time. To become successful in this new world, winning brands will have to execute on four critical strategies, namely: adopting a mobile strategy, allowing for personalization and customization, being relevant, and placing a significant value on transparency.
