What Anala Beevers Teaches Us About Ideas
Anala Beevers is a four-year-old who has recently been invited to join MENSA due to her high IQ. Her remarkable achievements demonstrate that we should look at all ideas democratically within companies, rather than factoring in power structures, in order to drive innovation. Hierarchies can often prevent innovative ideas from being considered due to the perceived importance of certain opinions and ideas from those at the top. The assumption that geniuses come in one flavour and one look is also problematic and can prevent us from finding the best solutions within our own companies. In order to reach an innovative point, all ideas should be considered from the standpoint of what they provide, regardless of who is providing them.
