Seven Verbs that Define Innovation Leaders
Innovation leaders are restless to try new initiatives and are committed to the long-term survival and success of their organization. They focus on the needs of customers and employees, and are always keen to learn by asking great questions and challenging employees, customers, and outsiders. They communicate by telling people about the vision for the business, what a great job they are doing, and it's okay to fail. They trust their best employees to come up with great ideas and to implement them, and they encourage people to experiment by building prototypes and testing ideas in the marketplace. They also welcome risk, celebrate success, learn from failure, and welcome technology, new ways of working, and fresh ideas. Finally, they quickly move to a decision even if they have only half the information that they would like to have.
