Selling Innovation: The Pitch (chapter 3)
An effective sales pitch for your innovation must connect your product or service with your buyers' needs, demonstrating that your solution can solve their problems. It should also be comprehensible, conveying a simple and easy to understand message. Sales traction is also important, as you need to determine whether the customer can and is willing to pay for your solution. Your pitch must also be believable and match the real-world problems that people are facing today. Lastly, your pitch must differentiate your innovation from that of your competitors. Successful innovation sales require a long-term view and a pitch that is constantly evolving to meet the needs of your buyers.
