Research Reveals Success Factors of Fast-Growing Startups

THNK and Deloitte conducted research into the dynamics and characteristics of 400,000 startups worldwide and found that experienced leadership is the most important factor in the success of fast-growing companies, or scale-ups. Contrary to popular belief, almost all scale-ups are led by experienced entrepreneurs and more than half of all scale-ups in the database were founded by teams, demonstrating the value of diverse expertise and backgrounds. Another key factor is timing – as scale-ups typically take almost double the time compared to startups to enter the market, but they launch when the conditions are right for exponential scaling.
