Open Innovation - Public vs Private

Developing a clear vision and strategy is key for any organization, whether public or private, in implementing open innovation. Proper infrastructure, processes, and a mindset that fosters open innovation are necessary for success. Knowledge sharing through conferences and articles can be used by both public and private organizations. However, less innovation experience and public scrutiny are challenges for public organizations. Additionally, public organizations exist to serve citizens, who are not the same as consumers or customers of the private sector.
