Mind the Gap – Part 2
Collaboration between corporates and start-ups can be challenging, and partnerships can fail due to several gaps, including the Time is Money Gap, the Anxiety Gap, and the Give-Get Gap. In addition, there are three other gaps, such as the Experience Gap, the Facilitation Gap, and the Openness Gap, that build upon each other. The Experience Gap refers to the difference in experience between the two parties, while the Facilitation Gap results from ambiguity around roles and responsibilities. Finally, the Openness Gap arises from cultural differences in the level of openness among the companies. By being aware of these gaps, start-ups and corporates can approach potential partnerships with openness and enthusiasm to work together and create healthy and profitable relationships.
