IoT Brings Innovation Opportunity to HR

With the Internet of Things (IoT) set to bring an estimated 50 to 200 billion connected devices by 2020, the way we work and live is set to change dramatically. HR professionals need to prepare for these changes by becoming educated and flexible to an unprecedented level of Big Data, for example by learning to create their own IoT adaptations to aid workforces. Four categories of IoT devices (mobile phones and tablets, health and fitness trackers, attendance and location trackers, and virtual and augmented reality) are forcing companies to prepare for the future by allowing employees access to their own data, offering improved assessment of candidates, and offering a more empirical experience in the office of the future job. HR professionals need to enable their workforce to drive innovation and create their own IoT adaptations to improve products and services.
