Ideation Rate: Quantifying a Culture of Innovation
Planview IdeaPlace collaborated with Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management to examine how to quantify a culture of innovation. One component of the overall study, ideation rate, measures the amount of winning ideas divided by the amount of active participants in a given ideation challenge. Companies with a high ideation rate tend to have cultures that encourage idea generation and implementation, resulting in higher profit growth. The study shows the importance of leveraging the knowledge of employees to create a more collaborative environment.
