Why Lean-Agile Culture Shifts Fail
The world's largest companies are undergoing significant changes due to the shifts in technology, culture, economics, and politics globally. With a churn rate high enough to replace half of the current S&P 500 firms over the next decade, enterprises must embrace organizational agility to survive. However, not all organizations are quick to adapt due to various reasons, such as traditional business structures, lack of leadership buy-in, and old school budgeting/planning cycles. To transform into a Lean-Agile culture, organizations need to evolve their underlying psychological concepts, empower their leadership, and avoid funding projects that create friction, inefficiency, and bureaucracy. While Lean-Agile culture shifts don't happen overnight, they have a positive impact on both the dynamism and stability of the organization, as well as the bottom line.
