Using Growth Boards to Drive Intentional Innovation at Scale
Growth boards offer a way to move past the theatrical aspects of innovation and make decisions about what to focus on based on evidence. They provide a smaller group making decisions about creating successful startup teams that demonstrate evidence supporting their continued progression and funding. The decision-making process is supported by team evidence, market knowledge, and strategic alignment. A successful growth board is comprised of single-digit numbers of people in the room who have authority but also come to meetings continuously. It needs to be highly transparent and not adversarial to the startup teams. Mitigating against legacy biases is also critical to successful decision-making.
