Teaching Creativity With a Story: A Lesson From Paul Smith
Creativity isn't just limited to some people. Everyone has the capacity to be creative, but it's often not called on enough. Parents can help their children build creative capacity by encouraging them to intentionally call on that capacity within themselves. A mother taught her son how to summon creativity by asking him to examine an item closely and ask what he saw, leading to the reimagination of an old sewing box as a pirate ship. This simple but effective approach can be followed to spark creativity in individuals of all ages.
