Spam Me Not by Alyssa Murfey
Spam emails are a common problem which wastes your time, reduces productivity and affects the harmless surfing of your mailbox. Despite laws like CAN-SPAM and CASL which aim to promote best practices and encourage businesses to be honest, spammers continue to find ways around regulations. The argument for a mandate to include a bottom statement stressing that the user's information will never be sold or spammed is valid. While there can be some hooligan trying to cheat the system, it's time to update the CAN-SPAM Act of 2004 and enforce clear opt-in and opt-out options transparently.
