Lean Coffee Format for Virtual Teams
Lean Coffee is a meeting format designed to facilitate collaborative group discussions without a set agenda. Originating from Lean thinkers Jim Benson and Jeremy Lightsmith, this format is simple and can be used for brainstorming, planning, and retrospectives. The meeting involves participants pitching ideas, voting on which to discuss, and then discussing them. A facilitator manages the conversation by setting time limits and other ground rules. Lean Coffee can be used for virtual teams with the help of digital Kanban boards and other tools.
