Tony Fortner of Sprint presented on Social Engagement Strategy at KairosAnalytics, a web analytics strategy forum. Tony emphasized that creating a vibrant online community strategy is not only based on best practices but also on culture, values and much of what we were taught as children. Building a community strategy can be a radical innovation for most companies; therefore, aligning with someone who excels at the necessary steps to make it happen is crucial. Moreover, learnings come from the people and companies pushing the limits of social networking-driven strategic change. Not every brand wins with this strategy as some pre-existing business models do not fit the community-centric approach.
