Innovate on Purpose: Idea construction
It's a common misconception that good ideas come fully formed and are easy to implement. In reality, they're constructed through a messy iterative process that involves experimentation, combining, and editing to create something fresh, unusual, and valuable. While creativity is celebrated, it's the delivery of the final product that really counts. Architects and builders, or designers and engineers, must work together to bring an idea to life that will fill unmet needs and provide unexpected value. The real problem is in our choice of words, which often assume that good ideas will be produced once, originally, without additional work. In reality, the best ideas are products of construction and experimentation.
