How Premera Blue Cross Uses Innovation Software to Drive Employee Engagement
Premera Blue Cross engaged their employees in generating new ideas for improving healthcare and customer experience. They used Planview IdeaPlace innovation management solution to crowdsource ideas from their 3,200 employees, including 900 telecommuters, and four campuses. The Test Kitchen of IdeaPlace involved Iron Chefs, Recipe categories, and Ingredients for collaboration on new ideas. Over 70% of the employees participated and generated 450 new ideas in four days. After reviewing nearly 11,000 votes using IdeaPlace's pairwise comparison, a cross-functional committee of executives prioritized and promoted the best ideas. As a result, Premera employees continue bringing new ideas to improve customer experience.
