3D printing innovation breaks the rules of traditional building

Chinese company Win Sun Decoration Design Engineering is among a growing number of firms using 3D printing to create entire buildings. These 3D-printed concrete houses are functional and usable, offering a new game-changing innovation in the building industry. Large-scale printing represents the 4th Industrial Revolution and has a growing role in constructing urban features, buildings and habitable 3D printed houses. Key advantages include design flexibility, faster construction times, cost savings and reduced CO2 emissions. In 2019, Dutch construction company Van Wijnen will unveil Project Milestone, building five 3D concrete houses , operating off-site to produce fully-finished, smart and energy efficient homes.
