The New and Updated Humor Desk Policy

The Humor Desk Policy aims to address the issue of employees not managing their workspace effectively. The policy provides a framework for employees to properly use their workspaces, boost innovation, and improve morale and productivity. The policy covers four aspects: physical, living, cleaning, and social. Under physical, the policy suggests desk options, chairs, sound blockers, lighting, easy button, yo-yo, sticky notes, butter, notebook, and small piano. Living covers living plants, cactus, goldfish, and oxygen breaks. Under cleaning, cleaning objects are suggested. Social covers humor, writing on the wall, provocation, mild seduction, gossip, inscaping, pin the tail on the donkey, and umbrella. The policy is developed collaboratively by employees and leaders around the world who participate in the Humor Desk Policy dialogue with Chief Humor Officer.
