The LAB: Creating New Logistics Packaging with SIT (May 2012)
The corrugated box industry is worth $57 billion globally but is not growing, leading to questions about the lack of innovation in the sector. To explore potential innovations, students from the University of Cincinnati applied the corporate innovation method, SIT, to the challenge. They came up with several concepts, including the Reusable Air Box, Snap Wrap, Self-expanding Box, Tear Tape Box, and Know Tape. These packaging solutions aim to provide protection, visibility, and efficiency, while also being lightweight and environmentally friendly.
