Serious Games & Innovation Management: Hélène Michel on Cubification™
Hélène Michel, a professor in Innovation Management at Grenoble Ecole de Management, discusses her experience in gamification for innovation. She explains that gamification uses emotional mechanisms, including curiosity, competition, personal challenge and role-play, to involve people in tasks. Michel created Cubification, a gamification approach for innovation that makes the innovation challenge tangible. During a Cubification session, facilitators and participants customize a cube and generate combinations that serve as the basis for innovative business ideas. Michel has worked with major companies, including Somfy and Capgemini, and is currently working with the United Nations to support social entrepreneurship in developing countries.
