Overcoming the looming threat to change management
Change management is crucial, but it can be fraught with challenges. One major issue is change fatigue, which can lead to resistance and negative consequences. Employees don't fear change, they are exhausted from unsuccessful attempts to implement it. To overcome change fatigue, organizations should accept that change is behavioral, create change agents on every team, build and share a high-level plan, be willing to change a change management project mid-course, and choose tools that foster transparency, communication and collaboration.
